e-Dreams and the German inbound quarantine

All,

Reading the news of Merkel’s push for 14 days inbound quarantine made me realise this morning that despite predicting it, I had somehow still held hopes that this scenario was going to be avoidable.

What it of course does is kill any hope of tourism this summer and wirth that reduce E-Dreams bonds' chances of survival.

Upside for e-Dreams may come from European nations finding a point at which they can all agree to be equally clean of Covid-19. Given the debate over Eurobonds is re-emerging, tourism would be the most immediate and direct transfer of wealth from North to South and the mechanism everyone could most easily agree on. So I’m sure that debate will at least kick off in a month’s time.
But today its definitively negative.
