As the company is negotiating the A&E, it is not surprising to see some departures from the board. Matalan is looking for a new CEO following Jo Whitfiled’s sudden departure and now Ben Smith, Chief Trading Officer, and Ali Jones, Chief Customer Officer are departing too. The company has been outlining a new growth plan and shareholders may feel it requires a new team to deliver it.
