Ocado - comment
The closure of Ocado’s Hatfield CFC, will have a small impact on the company. New capacity (particularly at Luton) will be able to pick up the slack. The post covid drop in demand has left Ocado with spare capacity. Hatfield satisfies around 20% of the 400k orders a week and will be replaced by more efficient new facilities. Ocado has already delayed the rollout of CFCs in the North West and South East as growth slowed post covid.
The value of the international business will remain driven by the megatrend towards growth in Online shopping.
